Trip Information 

Everest View Trek has been designed for the adventurers who have short holidays. The trek targets the magnificent view of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest (8,848 metres). The trek offers the magnificent view of Mountains; Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho Oyu (8152m), Ama Dablam (6812m), Makalu (8463m), Nuptse, Thamserku, Kantega Peak, Island Peak (6189m), Lobuche Peak, Khumbutse Peak, Pumori, Cholatse, Taboche and other Himalayas.

We set out on the trek along the easier trail and luxurious accommodation. In other words, this package suits to all who wants to enjoy the nature comfortably. Everest View Trek is an ideal choice for the elderly citizens, couples, as well as younger explorers.  

This 12-day long trek also covers the visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley. Pashupatinath Temple, Monkey temple, Bouddhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square are the  main attractions in the valley.

This trekking package facilitates to explore and study the natural diversity. The vegetation found at the lower altitude in the region includes pine and hemlock forests, while fir, juniper, birch and rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.

The oldest monasteries in Tyangboche and Sherpa villages in the region are among the major attractions. Here, we get time to observe the Sherpa cultures and lifestyle during the acclimation period.

Hotel / Accommodations

Three-night accommodation in star hotel in Kathmandu and 7-night stay in the standard teahouse lodge in mountains during the trek. You may have to share bed with a companion during the mountainous trip. But if you need, $ 250 can fetch you single supplement for the whole trip in the mountains.

Food:

You will be served with breakfast during your stay in Kathmandu. All other meals will be provided to you by Mount Fishtail Adventure Pvt Ltd which includes welcome dinner. We provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner during the journey. When you are in mountain, you will be served with local food stuffs such as Dal Bhat (gram soup and rice), noodles, Tibetan breads made of buckwheat, spaghettis, soup, salad, hot drinks.

Best time to travel

The best time to set out on Everest View Trek is either in Spring season (March to May) or in Autumn (September to November). It offers magnificent views in these two seasons.

The journey is also possible in other seasons despite having extremely cold weather, climate and temperature which may not suit, and we do not guarantee the panoramic views.

Points to consider

The mountain flight to and from Kathmandu-Lukla may delay depending on the weather conditions. It is very likely to delay the flights from one to two hours to next day. In case if you miss the scheduled flight due to the weather conditions, you will have to wait or you may pay $600 for emergency helicopter lift.

So, it would be better if you keep few days more in reserve to cope with such condition.

Depending on the time and situation concerning your safety and security your team leader may change the itinerary item.

We are liable to rescue you by lifting you on helicopter. We charge you extra $600 per person for such emergency lift. Mount Fishtail Adventure provides you the bill that covers the rescue expenses. Later you may present the bill to claim the amount at your insurance company.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 metres or 4,265 feet) We receive you upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, in Kathmandu. 20 to 25 minutes drive from the airport in our private vehicle takes you to a hotel in Thamel, an important hub for the trekkers and adventurers. You have time to take rest. In the evening, we organise a welcome dinner in a Nepali restaurant with cultural dance. We would hold meeting over the dinner to draw plans on your trekking.

Day 2Sightseeing around Kathmandu After breakfast in the morning, we go to visit the UNESCO World heritage sites in Kathmandu. We visit one of the most sacred Hindu temples, Pashupatinath. We also visit the famous monkey temple called Swoyambhunath which lies on the western boundary of Ring Road in the valley. We visit the historically important Kathmandu Durbar Square following the visit to the Bouddhanath shrine. In the evening you are free to explore the locality and prepare for the morning departure. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3Flight to Lukla (2,840 metres or 9,318 feet), trek to Phakding (2610 metres 8,563 feet) In the early morning, we take a flight to Lukla. The flight takes about 40 minutes from Kathmandu to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. After we arrive in Lukla, we check in a hotel and have breakfast take rest and hike until we arrive in a small village Phakding. We stay here overnight.

Day 4Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440 metres or 11,286 feet) After breakfast in the morning, we hike along the trail that meanders along Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River. We enter the Sagarmatha National Park at Manjo. We cross a suspension bridge and begin to ascent up a steep hill until we reach Namche Bazar. The bazar is the biggest market in Khumbu region and places itself as the most important hub. The Bazar has decent offices, hotels, internet cafes and many other offices and trading concerns; ATMs, Banks, military base camp, museum. Overnight stay in a hotel in Namche Bazar.

Day 5Acclimation in Namche Bazar Before we advance to the higher altitudes, we make a short acclimation in Namche Bazar. On this day, we hike up to Everest View Hotel via Sangboche. At the hotel balcony, we enjoy tea and coffee as well as the magnificent view of Himalayas for the time being. The panorama includes Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde among other Himalayas. We walk back to hotel where we stay overnight.

Day 6Namche Bazar to Khumjung (3,970 metres or 13,025 feet) In the morning, we get ready to continue the trail after breakfast. We ascend along the trail through the thick rhododendron woods, scattered human settlements. The majestic view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kongde are the main attraction in the surrounding. Apart from the sights, there are also Sherpa villages to be explored. A famous school established by the legendary mountaineer Sir Edmond Hillary, who was the first person to stand atop Mount Everest locates in the region. We stay here overnight.

Day 7Khumjung to Tyangboche (3,820 metres or 12,533 feet) After breakfast, we hike along the trail that descends until we arrive at Dudhkoshi River. The trail meanders along Dudh Koshi River. The natural trail passes through the pine forests until we arrive in a village of Tyangboche pass through. We visit the oldest and one of the biggest monasteries in Nepal. The place provides the gorgeous mountain views. The mountain range includes Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. We stay Overnight in Tyanboche.

Day 8Tyangboche to Namche Bazar (5 hours) In the morning, we take breakfast and take the trekking course back to Namche Bazar. The trail begins descending until we arrive at Dudhkoshi River and after crossing the suspension bridge we make ascent along the trail through the familiar pine forest. We pass by several villages and reach Kyangiuma. We take rest and enjoy the lunch time with gorgeous view of Himalayas. We continue trekking along the easy path that leads to Namche Bazar.

Day 9Namche Bazar to Lukla In the morning, after having breakfast we follow the familiar way which we have travelled in the initial phase of this journey. We head downwards through pine forests. We meander along the banks of Dudh Koshi River crossing the suspension bridges several times. This journey brings us to the exit point of Sagarmatha National Park at Manjo. We hike along the trail corresponding to Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River. We walk through the farm lands in the vicinity of scattered Sherpa settlements. We halt at Phakding, the small village where we stayed before. We take lunch here and continue hiking to Lukla. On this final day of trekking, we stay overnight here.

Day 10Lukla to Kathmandu The early morning 40-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu offers closer view of the mountains one more time. On our arrival in Kathmandu, we check in hotel, take rest and hang out around the city for the time being. We attend the farewell dinner with Mount Fishtail Adventure team.

Day 11International departure Mount Fishtail Adventure arranges to send you to the airport three hours prior to the scheduled flight time.
