Trip Information

Everest Base Camp trekking is the most exciting trek that reveals the wonders of nature as the trail meanders amid the world’s highest mountains. The trail ascends to the maximum height of 5,545 metres at Kalapatthar.  The trek offers the magnificent view of Mountains; Everest (8,884 metres), Lhotse (8516 metres), Cho Oyu (8,152 metres), Ama Dablam (6,812 metres), Makalu (8,463 metres), Nuptse, Thamserku, Kantega Peak, Island Peak (6,189 metres), Lobuche Peak, Khumbutse Peak, Pumori, Cholatse, Taboche and other Himalayas.

The entire trail explores within Sagarmatha National Park, which has been listed in the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1979.

Everest Base camp trekking is an opportunity to explore the region where the vegetation found at the lower altitude in the region includes pine and hemlock forests, while fir, juniper, birch and rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude. The park is home to various mammals such as red panda, snow leopard, musk deer, Himalayan thar, marten, Himalayan mouse hare (pika) and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan pheasant, snow cock, blood pheasant, red-billed cough and others.

This 15-day-trek also covers sight-seeing tour in UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu.

After the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the initial phase of the trek starts from Namche Bazar, the most important hub at the base of Himalayas. The short stay here offers the view of Mount Everest from Sangboche. The oldest monasteries in Tyangboche and Sherpa villages in the region are among the major attractions. Here, we get time to observe the Sherpa cultures and lifestyle during the acclimatisation in the region.

Trek to Everest Base Camp

Rating: Date: 25 - 11- 2017

This was definitely the adventure of a lifetime. I grew up in Colorado and have climbed all of it's 14,000' mountains, but to see the incredible Himalayan peaks along the EBC route up close was truly an awesome experience. Mount Fishtail Adventures took very good care of us during the 13 day trek, and we were honored to have the company owner, Narayan Paraluji as our guide.

Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, one of the only things that we wanted to do for sure was see the Himalayas. We decided that a mountain flight would be the best idea with the amount of time we had there. So, after perusing through Thamel, and seeing MANY travel agencies boasting mountain flights, we randomly walked into Mount Fishtail Adventure and we are SO glad that we did. Narayan went above and beyond to help our dream come true. He found us reasonably priced tickets, accompanied us to the airport on multiple occasions very early in the morning (as our flight was cancelled a few times), and was even able to get a refund for my boyfriend's ticket, as he was down and out with a sad bout of food poisoning and couldn't make our last and successful (for me, anyway!) flight. Narayan is kind and detail-oriented, and the office was professional. He even gave us great suggestions for food and activities nearby.  We are beyond excited to return to Nepal to go on an Everest Base Camp Trek, and Narayan has already emailed us all the details we need. We'll definitely be going through Mount Fishtail Adventure for our next Himalaya adventure! Thank you Narayan & team! See you soon!
