Trip Information

Nepal valley excursion is the exploration of three historical cities – Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Once the three principalities during the Malla Dynasty, are historically important. The valley cities exhibit the buildings of finest architectures, with fine cuts and wood carvings, especially, the sculptures and wood carvings in Patan. The cities are important as the indigenous Newar community have preserved their centuries old cultures and traditions.

Before a Shah Dynasty king Prithvi Narayan Shah took over Nepal, it was limited to Kathmandu valley, three cities and several principalities. After conquering the valley in the mid-eighteenth century, the Kathmandu Valley was made the capital.

The famous Kathmandu Durbar Square comprises the centuries old royal palace now turned into national museums, temples and other buildings. Kathmandu derived its name from “Kasthamandap” a historical building in the Durbar Square which was completely damaged in the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

Likewise, the Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square showcase the contemporary artefacts. Pachapanna Jhyale Durbar, a 55-window palace in Bhaktapur and Krishna Mandir in Patan are among the must see artefacts of Malla dynasty.

In this luxurious Nepal Valley tour, we have included an overnight stay in Nagarkot and another night in Dhulikhel. Both the places offer magnificent views of mountains such as Everest, Langtang Lirung, Dorje, Lakpa and amazing sunrise and sunset views.

Mount Fishtail Adventure has designed this 6-day tour package keeping on mind the desire of travellers to explore and evaluate the historical and cultural value of the capital city of Nepal as well as closer obeisance of Mountains via flight.
